Day 1: TRAVEL FROM CASABLANCA TO FES.
6 days private tour from Casablanca to Sahara Desert. The collection will be from your hotel or the Airport in Casablanca followed by a short drive to visit the Hassan II mosque, the largest mosque out of Mecca and then it’s on to Fes where you’ll arrive in the evening and here you’ll overnight in the Riad.
Day 2: FES GUIDED TOUR.
Private Desert tour from Casablanca to Sahara Desert. Most of the morning will be spent visiting the medina (the old city) and its alleys with an official tour guide. Your visit starts by visiting the Jewish Quarter, the Mellah and the Royal Palace, which is the biggest in the country. You will be visiting the famous tanneries and the Quaraouine mosque. After lunch, in a typical Moroccan restaurant in the Medina, you’ll visit the Merinid tombs and experience a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Overnight accommodation will be at your Riad in Fes.
Day 3: TRAVEL FROM FES – IFRANE – AZROU FOREST – MERZOUGA DESERT.
After breakfast, we’ll leave Fes travelling towards Ifrane, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. During this journey, you’ll see glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you may well see wild Monkeys. Afterwards we’ll travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock and along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. We’ll drive through welcoming Berber villages to Erfoud, before arriving at Merzouga. Here you’ll be welcomed by a glass of mint tea before you check in to your Riad.
Day 4: EXPLORING MERZOUGA – CAMEL TREK.
After breakfast in your Riad, you’ll start exploring the area. You’ll be visiting the Gnawa people in their village Khamlia, where you will learn about Gnawa music and their lifestyle. Close by is the lake of Merzouga with its bird population, including the flamingos. Afterwards, you’ll visit the old city of Rissani. Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco.

Once called Sijilmassa, this was the meeting place for the salt caravans, coming from Timbuktu in Mali. Here you’ll walk through the souk, packed with spices, vegetables and clothes before driving back to the village of Merzouga, where your camels are awaiting you. Guided by an experienced camel man you’ll ride exploring within the sand sea. Overnight in a beautiful desert camp.
Day 5 : SAHARA DESERT – RISSANI – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY OR OUARZAZATE.
Early morning we woke up before sunrise to watch the sunrise, shower, and breakfast, departure to Rissani, visit its Market which is the most important in the south, where all the desert nomads go to do their shopping then we leave for Erfoud where we will visit the fossilized marble factory and continue towards the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. We will arrive at one of the strong points of the South: The Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty; It is a climber’s paradise and a unique place. Lunch at the site and a half-hour walk to see the Gorges calmly. In the afternoon we continue towards Dades valley passing through Boumalne. Overnight in Dades or Ouarzazate.
Day 6 : DADES VALLEY OR OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH.
Today, we will travel to Ouarzazate via Boumalne de Dades, El-Kelaa M’Gouna and Skoura.
